Database Administrator SYBASE

Ciao AG, a successful web media and market research company, is currently looking for an experienced database administrator to join the tech department in Munich, Germany, reporting directly to the VP of Technology. This adaptive, energetic person will help Ciao achieve its technology goals in a rapidly changing environment.

Your responsibility:
- Install, configure and maintain Sybase servers and databases
- Tune Sybase server configurations, schemata, indices, SPs and queries for performance
- Perform super user tasks (data modifications)

What we expect from you:
- Strong knowledge of Sybase database administration (min 3 years experience with ASE)
- Strong knowledge of Sybase database design and development
- Familiarity with Unix (Solaris a plus)
- Fluency in English
- Permission to live and work in Germany
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Positive "can do" team attitude
